Snowsweat chains was born using a bit of No.8 wire ingenuity, a deep passion for the outdoors and the determination to be up the mountain first on a powder day. Replacing the cumbersome and awkward “drive-on” chains used at the time, Snowsweat chains offered motorists an alternative that was quicker and easier to fit and a tensioning system that was safer and more reliable to use.

Designed and developed on the picturesque slopes of New Zealand over the last 25 years, Snowsweat chains is still proudly made in New Zealand by Kiwi’s. Still driven by a passion for the outdoors, a love of the mountains and a belief in locally made products, we continue to grow.
