It all started with the desire to be up the mountain first on a powder day. Fiddling around with drive-on chains in the snow, getting in and out of the car when it is freezing cold eventually prompted one keen skier to find an alternative.
They approached us and together we came up with the first four patterns in the Easy Fit product range. This marked the beginning of Snowsweat snow chains. Over 40 years on and our passion for the snow and the great outdoors is still burning strong.
The Snowsweat product range is still locally made providing stronger, safer snow chains that enable Kiwi drivers the freedom to explore New Zealand all year round.

Supporting Winter Games NZ and a selection of world class events has been a fantastic opportunity to promote snow sports in New Zealand. It is the largest international snow sports competition in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting elite athletes from over 40 countries. It provides our rising local stars an opportunity to compete against international athletes in a range of World cup qualifying events, with New Zealand’s athlete contingent leading a wave of growing talent performing on the world stage. Supporting community
The annual mid-winter dip is the main fundraising event for Plimmerton Kindy, a short drive north of Wellington city. Proudly supported by the local community, the mid-winter dip is an opportunity to have some fun and celebrate the start of winter!
